Description
Have you prepared for the common natural calamities or disasters? If not, this is the right time you consider doing so. I brought some friends of mine to discuss how things can go wrong and what should we do about those. It's an interesting discussion with topics ranging from fire hazards, income tax raids, Google banning your accounts, and some natural disasters.
Understand what things can go wrong and how to be prepared in any case. As one guest said, if the world is ending in seven days, learn how to live seven and a half days.

last week Rohit was talking about how a fire broke out in his house and he managed to save things just in time but then we started discussing what would have happened if the fire had destroyed things in his house was he prepared and it turns out Rohit is a professional paranoiac he is prepared for all kinds of disasters and we thought you know maybe we should have an episode on the different kinds of problems you could run into that you are unprepared for maybe you know that your laptop should have backups and most probably you don't actually take those backups but at least you know about that there's a whole bunch of other problems you can run into
and you don't even know that you're supposed to prepare for them that is today's episode we have a bunch of chits given by other professional paranoiacs here and we're going to pull out a chit try to find out what all can go wrong and then what preparations we have done what preparation we should do I have with me Rohit sriwastav professional paranoiac and cyber security expert who worries about viruses and malware and Chinese hackers so he has to be prepared also I have anur aaral who used to work in a cryptocurrency exchange so he goes around worrying about somebody holding a gun to his head and asking for the private key so let's find out okay so we
have these um compilation of different fears from our lives all captured in this little bottle so maybe na why don't you pick out one okay the government decides to freeze everything I own yes shrikant is also a professional hypochondriac so this is what he has come up with okay this is written by Shri and in fact I have a similar in fact exactly the same thing in one of the one of one of my chats as well so yeah turns out even I have written something I didn't say government did it I just said that all your bank accounts get Frozen okay what would freeze bank accounts the bank could do it on the behest
of the one who should not be named do you have an Alexa here oh God first of all let us try to think of what all will happen right a UPI doesn't work so unless you carry around WS of cash you not going to be able to pay for anything right you can't ask your friends for money because even they don't have wordss of cash around okay um you can't make your rent payments if it's my company back account I can't meet payroll yeah well your company if you work for a company they can't send you your salary or they can send my salary credit is frozen debit is credit is now accepted for debit is Frozen that could
happen um basically why do I live anymore I have to come and sleep on your couch if that no so the thing is that you know you you are a nice guy right so most probably this is some sort of a misunderstanding and uh you will get it figured out and maybe in two months or 3 months it'll all be fine right but what do you do for two months 3 months so can I give an anecdote of exact same situation which has happened with a friend oh okay yes that's why we have him on the show yes so this friend of us he is running a travel business H local travel international travel visas and
all other support yeah somebody used his travel agency to do some travel which is not in a right shape or whatever reason the police complaint was filed and somewhere in Rajasthan someone filed a complaint and their corporate bank account is frozen very important Point okay a lot of you are thinking oh these things will never happen to me because I don't get involved in such things the problem is someone else just uses your account right so even though you did nothing wrong you're are still frozen over yeah I know of a similar situation where two parties uh got into a dispute one party invoked some superpowers and the other party anyone who has received money from the other
party which was 70 plus parties from what I hear had their accounts Frozen oh right so you just had to receive money from someone and look like you close to someone and some magic powers are invoked too you you're for your account oh no no so this actually I read a newspaper article just a few weeks back where a scammer scammed someone out of a lot of money used that money to pay a whole bunch of people and three steps later someone completely unrelated to the scamming received that money into an important bank account and that entire bank account was frozen for months okay so I think we fairly understand what the implications of this is let me give one
more little example account freezing is a very specific thing uh my mom had to undergo a surgery last month and we had a Insurance in place cashless uh forms were filled but when we went for the admission uh the cashless approval had not come from the insurance company which means when we are admitting her for a a day prior to the surgery um biller basically the billing desk just basically tells me you need to pay the full amount right away and how do you pay the full amount LHS of Rupees to someone so and the worst part I was out of credit limit on my personal credit card okay so here is what I did
thankfully I have two credit cards the second credit card is exclusively kept for doing company expenses I pulled out that made that expense and then later reimburse the uh company Now understand why this is uh important because this was time sensitive no consumer bank will allow you to make a transfer online using net banking without having a 24 hours scholing period and all of those things can happen unless you go to the branch and it was a Sunday how do you go to a branch lot of these things the heart attack doesn't wait 24 hours that as well so one of the things I've now been thinking is okay I was there it was a planned surgery what if it is
unplanned hospitalization unplaned one how do I prepare my parents for it what if I'm in pun and there in Bombay how do I manage that so now that's something I've been thinking about one of the things which my uh doctor doctor friend told me many years back is to always keep some cash at home for medical emergencies and the amount that she mentioned like six or seven years back was lack and a half right of course this amount may vary for different people depending on who you are where you live but I was like crazy about keeping so much cash in mind but uh that doesn't sound like a very bad idea now now related to this is another thing that
I'm thinking about that our grandparents had the right idea buy gold there should be gold in the house and one important reason was that gold Works anywhere right so uh I now seriously thinking about that and by the way for people thinking I got bought a sgb or whatever Bond or thought about I have gold in the bank Locker or ETF or whatever they are in a digital form or in a form you are not keeping custody of it so it can get Frozen right I mean that can be all of those are frozen right your gold in the locker is frozen your gold ETF is frozen your gold bonds are Frozen only the gold
like actual gold the powers that be what do they need to do this they just need your pan card number to freeze yes so it's not like uh it won't be it's difficult it's not logistically difficult to pull this up St Plus at the same time this looking like liquid money is actually not liquid the liquid is something which is at home next to you right yeah when when crisis strikes it's nothing is nothing is liquid but don't go overboard don't have too much and also don't announce it on a YouTube channel don't don't let too many people know because there have been instances of people getting murdered because they had stuff like this lying around in
place yeah any other things you can think of there are possibilities like uh some stuff which I do generally to do there is a certain amount of cash at home there certain amount of gold at home have been doing that the money is uh kind of divided into multiple accounts not only into my pan account man pan number linked account there's some part of money in my the corpit required fund is also there in the partners account yes there's a possibility that if it comes to the company it can actually go here there and being in a cyber security related work somebody can get spiked at any point of time so they can come out but
yes we have some distribution of that even in family there's some amount in my account wife's account there are kids account as well which has some fund at least that hopefully that won't get frozen or you have some buffer time to react to that scenario correct yeah I have done the same you're right interesting interesting don't keep all legs in one bus also have good friends who will lend you lend you out money when you need and you know there are other friends who keep cash at home so just keep their number handy take them to drink some remember their number you can lose your phone as well I have a chit on that yeah okay next okay let's
pick up the next do you want to pick Let's see Okay Google blocks your account that was written by me that's yours okay so let me play out the scenario for you you are a extremely diligent um internet user all of your accounts are protected with tofa and the app you chose for it is Google Authenticator you have all of your data Insurance files and everything else very well uh documented structured shared with family from your Gmail account a Google Drive yes and Google for some reason and there have been random instances like this just go search and redit decided decides to close your account without any notice Google doesn't Google themselves don't know why
they did it there is you will try to find out it'll take you months to just figure out why this was done now until then everything is Frozen all your data all your contacts maybe the email ID where you using which your pan Adar is linked plus uh all your tofa on Google Authenticator was on that account correct it's probably gone why do I have a story or a friend who has gone through the same thing every time with every question okay go ahead so again very simply he had a g Gmail account and uh something triggered that this is against Google's policy and hence your account is blocked there's one more good reason for that he was very much actively
involved in uh the counter intelligence activities with uh Team so maybe something was there in his account which got frozen it could have been something much less uh complicated comp like showing up at the wrong place wrong time and pissing off the powers that be yes or believe me there's so many digital Flags your computer at a malware which was used in some kind of a Dos attack or whatever and Google thinks now you are doing some some stuff online which is not good and you lose your account could be for them like billion active users a day one of the free user has gone free user yeah one the free user has gone yeah and Google has no
customer support okay you can't call up anybody and say oh this was a misunderstanding we will fix it for you does not happen you have to use the internet and tell people this happened and if you get lucky some influencer will retweet it and then somebody will tell someone important in Google then it gets fixed if you're not one of those people tough luck make a new account wow but you are an influencer you have a lot of people and your connects are there in Google so that's why you should follow my channel okay and be like a regular commenter send a note to send a note to him but yes that that that has been the scenario
how do we deal with this I'll tell you what I have done I have a physical hard disk attached to a senology Nas system a 4tb hard disk connected to my Wi-Fi router at home and uh that downloads all my Google Drive uh all my own personal servers and any data which I can sync by an API my one drive and all of that it syncs it to that hard drive once a day uh at at and depending on your importance it just uh has different frequency set for different accounts so I back up all of that at least the data part physically on a Nas is one of the things I do plus one I have the exact
same setup yeah the nas boox brand is not told publicly but yeah I have another same setup okay so uh but what I have is for the two Factor authentication I do not use Google Authenticator as a two-act authentication app there's a different app which has a different account yes and they also keep a backup of your seed Keys yes so technically it'll it's uh if even if you lose that device and something there are other ways of getting back to the stuff so one thing I have done is I do not use my Gmail address for anything okay I used to long ago I stopped doing that I have my own domain name it doesn't cost much and
setting it up uh you can just ask a friend it's like a small amount of time uh to set up it's a Once you set it up it's done good worth a dinner exactly yeah and so sm.com is my account so my email is all there for my entire family and uh that is doesn't go to earlier it used to ultimately go to Gmail now I have even stopped that so it goes somewhere else uh but that's the thing that the domain name is not under Google's control right I could still I mean I can say that you know you don't want to uh have your email somewhere else Gmail is easy to use sure yeah
forward that email into Gmail you can have keep a copy but keep a copy and second is that the email address shouldn't be the at gmail.com it should not be dependent on Google Google cannot freeze my atm.com address if they freeze the back end I can just change the connection I can forward it somewhere else and I will still have access to email I can start sending emails to people and receiving emails and that would take hardly 4 hours for the new thing to get absolutely yeah so the same for me I had my Rohit 11.com earlier it was forwarded to Google I can say it publicly because it is searchable publicly now it is going to Office 365
but the day I decide I can switch it off from there to anywhere else absolutely and then I have a backup of all of that so that way the emails the notes the documents all of them are yeah offline yes and then the multiactor authentication which was left out there's a different app for that two followup questions one what is the app that you are talking about uh for multiactor authentication and two what if you already have an existing Gmail account that is in extensive use how do you move from that to somewhere else app there are multiple of such apps which has uh backup management for this thing there's one there's a better option I'll
tell you when you scan a QR code take a copy of that to make it an authenticator scan it from two phones at the same time two different apps and they will give you the same Google authentic as in sorry your 2 will be set up be set up on two devices on two different apps at the same time you could also scan it on the same device with two apps uh to do it separately if you want to sync your 2of to the cloud or not is a option uh you could choose ideally I would not sync it to the cloud from my primary Gmail account at least by the way those who don't know what these guys are talking
about and what is this tofa and authenticator there is another episode we have done with Rohit about how to be safe on the internet take a look at that go that goes here right and that link goes here Link in description I'll give you a very simple for the email forwarding thing I think uh there are domains available for as little as rupees a year you take a xyo some info and stuff cheap domain you don't care about what the you know variant TLD over there is you can just take any domain and Zoho I think still gives a few free email three free uh but free accounts probably don't allow forwarding anymore but you could forward that to a Gmail if
you want the fancy Gmail interface but uh no I think the his question was that I already have given out my Gmail to everyone that's a challenge what do I do I did this right what I did was I said this is my new email address on Gmail I set up auto reply saying that you know I don't read this account anymore please send me an email there for my important accounts uh like bank and all of that I went and manually changed those by the way you should have a list of places where to change things right some of these I discovered 3 months later oh I didn't make a change here so that and the point is uh similar but
what another part of the question is there's already a lot of emails lying in your Gmail mailbox what do we do with that so that can also be exported into the new mail server wherever you are keeping it keep it together and then a lot of people actually still send me that uh mail on my one of the Gmail address while replying back I add my actual account so that it is now syncing and then slowly in one of the replies I'll remove the Gmail account and tell the person boss please use the this particular by the way did you know that you can download your entire Gmail mailbox few clicks with just a few
clicks and you have a full copy of your email plus there are ways in which you can import the whole thing into your new email provider so there are two reasons why you went off Google and I remember right you had a whole exercise of deg Googling myself yes I have a different reason my ID was so easy that even the counter boys at the Telco operator would see somebody's name as Rohit and a long email ID they'll just type in my email ID and then put it in so all the rits of India their emails you were getting most of it so I get bank statements from random people telephone bill for random people so finally I said
I will have to leave this account and move on to something more different my my primary Gmail account in fact I don't have any Gmail account for some coincidence which has my name in it all of my Gmail accounts by some accident are pseudonymous started with mistakes like XYZ DOL me at whatever School mistake 35om something very consciously pseudonymous created listen I think Yahoo and Hotmail both ran ads about making IDs like that which is why a lot of us made IDs like that don't blame us I I got my own domain also you Yahoo boys yaho is something else ya bo is something else Yao boys is basically the Nigerian scamster but yeah that's for
some other day anur asks yeah you suddenly lose your job because of health and three months of hospitalization as a result and there is three months of hospitalization which sucks away any savings you might have had which you probably don't how do you deal with that yeah so uh yeah this this actually very serious thing I remember so whenever I see young boys and girls in my office for like for almost close to a decade now I I just go and Hammer people manga phone why are you buying expensive phone and or do you have how many what percentage of your salary are you saving and S how many months ofv do you have yeah I do this with businesses I Mentor
as well that do you have a 12 months Runway right and at least personally I can tell you I quit my job 60 days before the pandemic started this business video school and moved to a new city made a lot of capital investment to start the business and exactly or less than $60 years after starting office we had to close office because we decided that we'll go into a lockdown before the government did a lockdown right questionus one and uh the only reason I could survive for like the whole pandemic and going through a tough phase is because I used to save 70% of my salary before that and that I would have otherwise not survived so my question is
for young people what's your recommendation how many months of savings should they have so I think personal expenses into six is practical for most people you should Aspire at 12 huh six minimum six around 12 you should have before you start buying the expensive phones yeah yes before you that that's a good uh mental model to have is I want to buy this expensive phone uh I will buy it on Emi fine but before that I'll have 6 months of my personal runway in the bank in a FD or something really secure yeah there's a interesting concept called envelopes or bucketing which basically uh requires you to actually make envelopes and put money away now we don't use cash anymore
but you can still make yeah if you use if you cash not as cash I'll explain you so there is so there is this uh experiment this is another of Ana's newsletters and we'll give a link to that and maybe even play that on the screen so there was a survey done in an Indian village where uh villagers were encouraged to save money and uh to and then then the experiment said that okay they went to a village Village house and said take 40 rupees put it in an envelope and only spend it if you absolutely need it for emergency only just by doing that making a mental note this is only for emergency keeping it
separately as 40 rupees on an envelope savings went up by a good margin exact numbers we'll post on screen and uh then the researchers went a step further they said make two envelops of 20 rupees each and these are only for emergencies and do not uh spend it otherwise and make two envelopes and keep two envelopes of 20 rupees each savings rate went up even further because now before before breaking the envelope you have to think and now that step happens twice so I like to do this like put money in different banks different fds I suddenly discovered that um in a payments bank I had put in my wife's account a couple of lak rupes in FD and
like that's called as money under the couch and you have to create those buckets and PES you should actually be having into places where like oh I have money here as well that kind of pockets but yes that's uh personal finance 101 that you have to create different pockets in different pocket keep different funds and keep a track that okay what is my Target and what percentage of my target have I reached so that you you always feel pinched that oh I I'm still 10% of my Target and keep putting more and more and into different buckets so that I can save you I what going on a slight tangent when you talked about emergency fund right for
the last 30 years I have always been carrying around a small emergency fund in my wallet right it is in an inner compartment U around 3,000 rupees not much but it is never to be used unless it's an emergency and nothing else works and every once in a while it turns out to be a savior right UPI doesn't work you are stuck somewhere in the middle of nowhere and my road tripping I so I have a wallet which is always in the car which has some always there and don't announce and I'm not touched it in last almost more than a year or so but it's still we know my driver even knows that okay there's a
wallet not to be touched the other thing I do when I'm traveling is you know there's some money in the wallet there is some money in the laptop bag and some some money in the actual bank so if you know this gets lost there is money there if that gets I mean Airline misplaces things but there is still some of the money will survive next next next okay okay Anor what happens if you have an income tax survey demanding you accounts from last 10 years who keeps accounts from 10 years man has uh it's legally bounded you have to keep accounts for seven years and if you have had any foreign transactions much more than 12 years so
it's a mandate now the point is have you kept it it's not about have you kept it are they organized enough for you to be able to pinpoint this transaction these many years back what was it for oh so for example if I say how many 10,000 rupee round figure transactions have happened in your account in the last 12 years I won through my statements but I think I can quickly russle up an Excel formula for it yeah so but there there has to be a reason that why this 10,000 was spent versus why this 10,000 was spent then I'll have to look into my notes any any transaction above a certain number I always make a note of
why I have made that uh expense because a for my own sanity and B I didn't know this could be the case but now B for this the problem is uh I I used to maintain it with my uh bank account statement you can write the reason why you're doing the they trate it they truncate it and you won't get it at the end of the year when you're Char account is asking you sir why was this money spent and I like okay so for the similar uh pattern I have a sheet where I actually maintain anything beyond a certain amount anything below that I tell my accountant please do you have any s around this yeah so my I mean you
know I used to be a salaried person and I used to think oh this is like you know rich people's problem to have you mean Poor People's problems but anyway you know doesn't really salaried people don't have to worry about these things but for reasons I don't understand in like 2005 or something like that I got an income tax uh scrutiny uh it used to be called scrutiny in those days and I me I was just didn't do anything I didn't even do much of Investments but it is generally scrutiny that we're talking about survey is a much more out that I told my CA to deal with it and it just kept getting worse and worse okay so finally I went
there in person and suddenly the situation changed okay so by the way CA goes and does things things get worse you go in person actually much fairly nice if you go in person right but turns out that whatever paperwork I had wasn't enough and that person just passed uh this saying that I owe like a lot of taxes and I didn't find out then okay I I mean he did this after I had left he said okay fine all is good much later there must have been a notice that I didn't get and so obviously I didn't do anything about it 12 years later yeah I got a notice saying you know where you haven't paid this and uh and the thing
is that they can't bring up an issue after 7 years but this is an issue that had already been brought up in an order passed so then it has no expiry now luckily we just keep all our records around so the main point of this whole discussion for you to take home is keep your paperwork around which is first is create paperwork most of you don't bother with any paperwork around taxes so please do and then keep it around for 10 years uh at least we were able to then file an appeal and we won that appeal and uh you know it was uh the ending was resolved but because we had the papers otherwise we would just have
to pay some ridiculous amount now imagine this you may have bank accounts which you have closed do you have statements in uh while closing have you taken the statement in fact of course you should download the statements every Financial year and I just uh put a comment next to all of them at the end of financial year but every year I would end up with a problem where there's some 10,000 50,000 25,000 round figure nobody knows where that money came from a v to right and I can't find and then I'm searching my SMS inbox I'm looking for this so here's what I've started to do and I think 50% of my transactions would be related party transactions my company
my family or something like that so now I have a codification in my uh Bank transfers so instead of relying just on the comment box which the bank gives if I am making a payment to you which is a expense say we went out for a restaurant together and we splitting the bill and I'm sending you money I will always end that figure by three if the figure does not end by three I will end that figure by giving you three PES extra 03 when I UPI it to you if it is a transaction between my own bank accounts I end it with one if it is between family members or me and my company he deserves a clap
for this see I deal with I I was paranoid about these things this guy on a different level all together yes and you guys are calling me paranoid no way see with my company and personal put together and family I must be dealing with at least 2,000 transactions a year I am the only I am the only normal one here and yet yet we moved back from the US 22 years ago we still have boxes of our us accounts and we are discussing should we throw those away or should we still keep them just in case okay always always keep so whatever one for this two for this three this four for this are different qualifications in
terms of amounts when you are writing in the comment box of a bank they may truncate it so I'll will always write as my initials say AA a to a but then I would also say AA to a HDFC whatever which account did it go to right a to whatever then Rohit I'll write full or whatever RS yeah I will not write RS for you I will many RS out there um let's take one more n you already taken a few out right okay yeah you can just pick one okay Rohit power grid hacked okay so Chinese people have gotten into India's power grid and power is gone conspiracy non-c conspiracy Mumbai whatever happened China was there not there let's not go
there but let's take for a scenario and we always fear that it can happen let's take for a scenario that power grid attack was a actual hackers attack attacker had actually went ahead and shut down the power grid now there's no power coming in you can't charge your phone and a lot of things which are dependent on power can't happen you can't create next videos your router doesn't work solar flare could have been another one but anyway yeah a router doesn't work internet doesn't work anywhere because all of them require power your phone doesn't need power for a while your home won't have water after some a few hours but at the same time there are ways of prepping just a little
bit for this okay a smaller solar setup at home which is like the emergency light which has a battery Bank to it which you can use to power the phone at least some arrangements can be done the making water out of thin air all those stuff are getting created as a fun just buy those keep playing with them once in a while okay so that when the whole world is ending in 7 days you are there for 7 and a half days there's an app called survival manual which is basically a self-contained app so as long as your phone is operational even if there is no internet this app is basically a book containing everything
you need in a survival situation only you can have this no so by the way as a normal person I'm also planning to get tents by the way and camping gear just for survival reasons and a gun and a gun license sorry to cut you off but I don't think you'll need a license at that it's a politically correct thing to say on a podcast politically correct sorry as a normal person I don't recommend any of these things this like you know buying water and all of that but what Rohit says makes sense like having a small solar power generator of your own can is simple enough to do and can be very useful in many different scenarios this
just being one of them so this makes a lot of sense to me and if the power grid does get hacked please switch off the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and mobile data on your phone because they consume a lot of battery searching for networks so your phone will survive longer yes I'm already planning for it but Instagram on my unan driving trip I discovered that in airplane mode 10 days the phone battery doesn't even budge yes yeah that happens yeah how did you drive to underman that was my question I was like I flew diving oh diving diving said ding diving diving okay okay so now I mean we're going to stop this episode here but we will read out the other
chits that people had written and you should spend some time thinking about how you would deal with it actually if you want us them to take up any of those in a future episode uh comment and let us know and we'll take it up well so some of these are repeats but they're just a different way of reaching the same conclusion right your phone and laptop are infected by ransomware so everything on them is lost this has happened to many companies I know Rohit makes a lot of money helping those people yeah so there are two similar ones which I have pulled out phone snatched phone laptop plus passport stolen abroad abro yeah so this has
happened with me uh laptop and passport stolen abroad this is important uh why I chose this one because uh I know there are Apple ecosystem people here there are Android e people ecosystem people here so just give a quick one what will you do if your phone is out and now you know it it may be even unlogged and it is out of your hand and has a lot of data a lot of funny messages and stuff I mean I use Android and I have enabled uh the Google remote phone thing so I can go and lock my phone from my Google account I can log to my Google account from any laptop you are outside in a
different country yeah on the street and the phone is stent there okay how would you reach to the position since I went to this situation and I thought if my phone and laptop both had been lost I would have been in some permanent soup so after that I built a sop around this uh without giving specific details I will have to to make one phone call to a trusted person who has an encrypted document which they will unlock with on based on the password I give them they will then access a password manager which belongs to me I'll give them another password to access that password manager and they can go and block all my
Gmail accounts and do a lot of things locate my phone and all everything based on my phone call but does the person know that it's you who's calling and it's not a deep fig who's calling okay so if that other person is my uh wife we have a security code which uh two two types of security codes one to indicate that things are safe one to indicate that that something may be wrong so just uh play along but don't do anything okay so I know what you are thinking that these guys are crazy and normal people don't have to worry about this but unfortunately normal people have to worry about this because now more and
more I have started getting calls uh or WhatsApp messages from people claiming to my be my friends but they're not my friends and the state of AI today is such that in 5 minutes I can clone shri's voice and I can make the AI say anything in Shri kant's voice over the phone right so more and more you are going to get calls from scammers trying to get you to uh do things so you do need a family code word yes a positive and a negative code word both anyway I think every it be open we'll get into a discussion so let's go fast so naen has this thing written you die without telling people about all your accounts
Bank Google or passwords so think about that uh I don't think I have everything covered there yeah I think Rohit wrote some no shant wrote something similar I die suddenly what happens there's one fire at your home very important what happens if there's fire at your home do you have exits do you have grills do you whatever whatever will you survive will your document survive lot there are a lot of those uh in case of fire throw this device you have a fire extinguisher whatever do you know how to use a fire extinguish and don't use it inside your house if you're trying go outside and try it anyway no so by the way this is
another one of those things I used to think all of these people are you know paranoid because you know fires they don't happen just like that they happen to weird people and weird circumstances but now I'm sitting with some fairly normal people normal as in their behavior not their paranoia but normal people and both have had fires him in the office and him in the house and the office is normal the house is normal okay so fires can happen which is why we recently bought a simple portable fire extinguisher and every once in a while we go and take a look at how it is supposed to be operated do the kids know for us where kids are at a growing age
yes I taught them as well that okay how do you manage all of these yes including the passcodes and other stuff especially if you have a very curious kid in the 3 to 6 s year range who is likely to go and Fiddle with the burners and microwave oven you have to you have to have safety equipment around the house fire extinguishers being one of them there's just one last one from anur a flight crash while going on vacation or business trip so there there are a lot of answers which are possible and let people comment it out in that and let people comment out even the other possibility these are just some sample I I skipped a few because there
were kind of repe but now let's hear from people what are their thoughts on how do we protect from these and how do we actually what are the other scenarios which they should be taking care of even if you don't do any of those these things take a backup of your address book your data your laptop please do that much have antivirus uh don't watch Pawn on your uh office system and um uh please do not comment that we are paranoid we know that already uh think constructively about how you can Implement some of these levels and and you remember that backup rule right the 3 2 1 backup was restore it should also be able to you should be
able to restore it three copies keep it at two different places so all of those rules There Are Rules there for the longest time my Nas was not at my home because fire right I lose my laptop I lose my phone I lose my mask what whatever so there are multiple ways but uh the point is uh this is not a crazy conversation this is not a fun conversation only this is a lot of learnings out here hopefully yeah it hasn't happened to you yet but we know people this has happened to there are few which I didn't know and now I am thinking in back of mind that I'll go and fix my all right okay this is future IQ and
see you again next time
